Our work

What makes Reach Schools unique?

Nothing at Reach Schools happens by accident.

Everything is intentional and has been thoughtfully and sensitively designed to meet the needs of our children, respecting both their current context and their future aspirations. When we share our learning with others, through our cradle-to-career training programmes, we are clear that the starting point for work like ours is the local context and deep listening. Reach Schools have achieved a sustained impact on the lives of its pupils and the wider Feltham community because of the coming together of a unique set of principles and actions.

Relationships, rigour, consistency, leadership and community matter to us.

Our schools are currently designed to emphasise their small and all-through nature. We are constantly reflecting on who and what we represent to our community and the wider educational sphere, and take seriously our part in both the local and national educational landscape. We want all children to be able to enjoy a life of choice and opportunity, not just those who attend our school.

Caring for the whole child

We care about the whole child and believe they need to be healthy (mentally and physically), have strong relationships, and be safe and supported; we have family dining at lunchtime so that every child has a hot nutritious meal, prepared by our award-winning caterers, and quality time to build relationships with their peers and staff.

Delivering excellent results

Pupils are able to consistently gain access top universities: in 2024, 84% of pupils gained a place in a selective (top third) university (in addition to a student gaining a place on an extremely competitive degree apprenticeship with BP). This includes ‘super selective’ universities such as Oxford and LSE.

A lifelong love of learning

Leaders in primary and secondary work in partnership to ensure the curriculum is meticulously planned and backwards-sequenced to build on prior knowledge and skills that have been taught earlier in the school, constantly looking both backwards and forwards. Our curriculum goes above and beyond, both within and outside the classroom.

Developing excellent teachers

High quality recruitment processes, alongside the school’s reputation for investing in professional development – weekly instructional coaching, co-planning, bitesize practice, a highly structured approach to training sessions – ensure excellent staff are recruited and retained.
