Reach Schools appoints new CEO

Reach Schools has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer, Matilda (Tilly) Browne. Tilly takes over from existing co-founder and CEO Rebecca Cramer, when she moves on this summer.

Tilly will begin her new role in September 2026, after working as Primary Co-headteacher of the Multi Academy Trust’s two schools, Reach Academy Feltham and Reach Academy Hanworth Park for a number of years. Tilly brings the experience, exceptional insight and skills to further shape and build the Trust in the coming years, under the guidance of the Trustees.

Tilly is delighted: “When I joined Reach in September 2015, it was because I wanted to learn how to be the best teacher and leader that I could be. I have been incredibly fortunate to spend the last 11 years doing that and am so grateful toRebecca Cramer and Ed Vainker, for their investment in me.

My initial Year 3 cohort are taking their A levels this summer and it is beautiful to see our vision to support every child to enjoy a life of choice and opportunity taking shape for these pupils. I love Reach’s ambition, our amazing team and the work we do to collaborate with our community.

It is such a privilege to be appointed the next CEO of Reach Schools. I am excited to continue Rebecca Cramer’s incredible work and I am committed to supporting even more children to enjoy lives of choice and opportunity.”

Tilly takes over from Rebecca Cramer, one of three visionary founders of Reach Academy Feltham, along with Ed Vainker OBE and Jon McGoh OBE. They deliberately chose Feltham in west London for their schools, so they could give every child in their community access to a life of choice and opportunity, a vision that remains true today.

Rebecca Cramer says: “Tilly is a remarkable teacher and an incredible leader. I am delighted to be handing over to her and excited to see how Reach Schools flourishes under her dynamic leadership.”

Reach Academy Feltham opened in 2012 and has been rated outstanding by Ofsted twice. It is an all-through, non-selective state school. Reach Academy Hanworth Park opened next door in 2024, and is growing with a new intake of reception and year 7 pupils every year until it is full. It is also non-selective. Both schools are state-funded and non-fee-paying for pupils.

Tilly’s promotion means that Reach Schools are now looking for two new Primary Co-headteachers for the two schools with distinct focuses. Reach Academy Feltham needs a leader to sustain and build on more than thirteen years of success and deliberate practice, alongside Secondary Co-headteacher Manjit More.

Reach Academy Hanworth Park is looking for an individual who brings the start-up energy to oversee the new school growth in pupil numbers and the exciting new building project alongside Secondary Co-headteacher Louis Everett, and continue to build on the exceptional start which has been made. Click here for more information.

This is the beginning of an exciting period of growth for Reach Schools, under the helm of new CEO Tilly Browne.
